Kid Doodle is a coloring and drawing app for kids ages 2–6, built and maintained by one independent developer — not a studio, not an ad network, and not a data business. This page explains who makes it and the principles it's built on.
Who makes Kid Doodle
Kid Doodle is the work of Atilla Özder, an independent iOS developer in Istanbul, Turkey. He writes the code, draws the coloring books, records the interface, and answers the support email himself. The app is published on the App Store under the developer account Atilla Ozder, and has been continuously updated since it first launched in 2020.
What Kid Doodle stands for
- No third-party ads, ever. Children can't tell an ad from content, so there are none — no banners, no interstitials, no "watch a video to unlock." Nothing in the app is designed to be tapped by mistake.
- No data collection. The app is built for young children with privacy first: no analytics SDKs, no tracking, no profiles. See the Children's Privacy Policy for specifics.
- Fully offline. Every coloring book, tool and sound works with no Wi-Fi after install — so it's reliable in cars, planes, restaurants and waiting rooms, exactly where it's needed.
- Made for little hands. No reading is required. Big touch targets, a magic fill bucket for instant wins, a forgiving eraser, and a narrator who names every color — so a 2-year-old can succeed on the first tap.
- Parents stay in control. A Parent Zone keeps purchases and settings behind a parental gate. The app is free to download, with optional one-time purchases and no forced subscriptions.
Why it's built this way
Most "free" kids apps pay for themselves by monetizing a child's attention — with ads that interrupt play and teach kids to tap, or data collection a parent never really consented to. Kid Doodle takes the opposite bet: earn trust by removing all of that, and let a small number of optional coloring-book purchases support the work. That's why the app can honestly show the App Store's "Data Not Collected" privacy label and carry zero ads.
